Bhubaneswar: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) and Batoi Systems (Batoi), a Bhubaneswar-based corporation, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Saturday to strengthen their collaboration in the realm of information technology. Batoi, known for its expertise in software engineering automation, particularly through its Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform, aims to bolster capabilities alongside SOA.
Per the terms of the agreement, Batoi will grant SOA access to its Batoi Academy Platform, facilitating the establishment of a technology lab dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing education and research. Additionally, Batoi will conduct practical training sessions and live projects for SOA students, aiming to bridge the skill gap and prepare them for the industry. The collaboration will also encompass organizing IT-centric seminars, conferences, and workshops, considering SOA students for internships and employment opportunities, and exploring collaboration in quantum computing education and research.
SOA, on its part, commits to acting as a focal point for coordinating research and curricular programs. It will support the implementation of Batoi’s EIP (Entrepreneurial and Institutional Partnership) program and assist in setting up the aforementioned technology lab. Furthermore, SOA pledges collaboration in establishing joint ventures focused on quantum computing education and research.
The MoU was formalized through the signatures of Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA, and Mr. Ashwini Kumar Rath, Director and CEO of Batoi Systems. Prof. Prasanta Kumar Panigrahi, Director of SOA’s Centre for Quantum Science and Technology, and Mr. Pramod Kumar Panda, SOA’s Chief Administrative Officer, were present during the signing ceremony.
