Keonjhar: ‘Patha Utsav’ has recently been organized under the joint aegis of the Keonjhar district and sub-division administration. At a special function held in the auditorium at the district headquarters on this occasion, chief guest district collector and magistrate Aashis Thackrey said that the role of voters is important in strengthening democracy. Stating that electorates are the power and potential of democracy, Thackrey called upon young voters to play a vital role in strengthening Indian democracy.
In this context, he emphasized registering the names of minors who have not registered their names on the voter list or those who will be 18 years of age by January 1, 2024. ADM Jadumani Mahala and Sub-Collector Ramachandra Kisku spoke about the purpose and object of the Path festival organized as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India and the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha. Among other officials, chief district medical officer Dr. Kishore Kumar Prusti and Keonjhar municipality executive officer Dr. Madhusmita Samantray attended the programme.
