Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Odisha has forecasted an extended period of heat wave conditions at least till April 18. Over the next 4-5 days, there’s expected to be a gradual increase in maximum temperatures by 4-6°C across many districts in the region.

- April 15: Heat wave conditions may occur in certain spots within Cuttack, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Bhadrak districts. Additionally, hot and humid weather is expected in some areas of Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Angul, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj.
- April 16: Heat wave conditions are very likely in specific places across Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, and Kandhamal districts.
- April 17: Similar heat wave conditions are anticipated in various locations within Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, and Koraput districts.
- April 18: Heat wave conditions are expected to persist in some areas of Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, and Koraput districts.
