Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stone for four significant development initiatives in the Ekamra Assembly constituency of Bhubaneswar on Friday. The stone laying ceremony was held in Lingipur panchayat, marking a total investment of Rs 159.29 crore.
The projects, distributed across various locations in the constituency, encompass a water storage facility within the river at Dhauli and Tikarpada, costing Rs 77.74 crore, and a two-lane road along the right side of the Daya canal in Lingipur, Itipur, and Tikarapada, with a budget of Rs 22 crore.
Additionally, a substantial pipe water supply project, with an expenditure of Rs 42.55 crore, is set to benefit seven panchayats in Kamena in Basuaghai, while a 33/11 KV electric sub-station will be constructed in Itipur panchayat at a cost of Rs 17 crore. The event witnessed the presence of Science and Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, along with MLAs Anant Narayan Jena, Sushant Kumar Raut, and Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, among others.
