Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railways (ECoR) proudly received two prestigious Efficiency Awards, namely, Efficiency Shields in the Commercial and Security segments, in collaboration with other Zonal Railways. The General Manager of ECoR, Shri Manoj Sharma, and the Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Shri V. R. Lenin, were honored to receive the Efficiency Shield for Commercial. Simultaneously, Shri Sharma, alongside the Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Shri Alok Bohra, graciously accepted the Efficiency Shield for Security from Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Communication, and Electronics & Information Technology. This recognition occurred during a ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
In addition to these collective achievements, ECoR also secured an individual accolade. Shri Randhi Manoj Babu, the Divisional Operations Manager of Khurda Road Railway Division, was presented with the “Ati Vishist Rail Seva Puraskar” by the Hon’ble Minister of Railways.
This award acknowledged Babu’s unwavering dedication to service, particularly in freight loading revenue generation and the attraction of new stakeholders for the transportation of emerging commodities.
During the 68th Railway Week Central Function – Ati Vishist Rail Seva Puraskar-2023, held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Union Minister of Railways, Communications & Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, bestowed Awards/Shields upon outstanding Railway personnel. The event, which took place on December 15 2023 aimed at promoting best practices among Railway employees. Shields were also distributed to Zonal Railways/PSUs for exceptional performance in specific fields.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Minister of State for Railways, Coal & Mines, Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Minister of State for Railways & Textile, Smt. Darshana Jardosh, Chairman & CEO, and Members of the Railway Board, General Managers of all Zonal Railways, and heads of Production Units of Railways and PSUs of Railways. In total, 100 Railway Employees from various Zonal Railways, Production Units, and Railway PSUs across the country were honored for their exceptional services, along with the presentation of 21 Efficiency Shields.
