Dalmia Bharat Foundation Organises Free Eye Check-Up Camp

Bhubaneswar: The Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd. (DBL), joined hands with Care Netram, an organization dedicated to vision care for the underprivileged, to host a free eye check-up camp at the Occupational Health Center at Dalmia Cement’s Cuttack plant, Kapilas Cement Works (KCW), Odisha. The camp aimed to provide accessible and affordable vision care services, benefiting 94 individuals from surrounding villages such as Suniapada, Biswali, Kanpur, Kushapada, Garudagaon, Kanamira, Amiyajhari, Byree, Mania, Sapanpur, Barunia, as well as KCW workers, employees, and their families.

During the check-up, subsidized spectacles were provided to those with refraction defects, while patients with conditions like cataracts and retina abnormalities were counseled and referred for further evaluation and treatment in Bhubaneswar. Noteworthy is that four special cases received counseling for free cataract operations at the affiliated hospital, Vision Care in Bhubaneswar.

Mr. Bhavesh Wala, Deputy Executive Director of DCBL and Unit Head of KCMW, expressed, “At Dalmia Bharat, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve, fostering sustainable development.
