Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik received the invitation to attend the inauguration ceremony of the widely publicised Shreemandir heritage corridor project at Puri. The state government project is slated to be inaugurated on January 17, 2024.
In preparation for the auspicious event, a delegation consisting of 50 members, including members of the Shreemandir Managing Committee, senior servitors of the Jagannath Temple, officials from the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), and representatives from the Puri district administration, today visited Naveen Niwas, the residence of CM Naveen Patnaik and presented the invitation to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The delegation previously extended an invitation to Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar. Initially, invitations were sent to Lord Jagannath and Puri Shankaracharya for the event.
During the meeting, Patnaik expressed his gratitude to the delegates and, as a gesture of respect towards Lord Jagannath, offered Gua (whole betel nut) and Chaula (rice) to the members.
In his interaction with the delegation, the Chief Minister conveyed that the Shreemandir heritage corridor project is dedicated to the servitors and residents of Puri. He reassured the delegation that the government would extend full support for the successful execution of the project.
