Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has given the green light to a comprehensive improvement proposal aimed at modernizing the infrastructure of Tusura Airstrip in Bolangir. This vital decision is aligned with the state government’s commitment to bolstering connectivity and promoting regional development. The Chief Minister has not only approved the proposal but has also allocated a substantial budget of Rs 65 crore for the seamless execution of the project.
The impetus for this strategic move was initiated during the visit of 5T and Naveen Odisha Chairman, Shri VK Pandian, to Bolangir on August 5 and 6. During his visit, Shri Pandian actively engaged with the local community, receiving valuable input and proposals from the people. Among the proposals that caught attention was the modernization of the Tusura Airstrip. Recognizing the importance of this proposal, Shri VK Pandian directed the district collector to prepare a detailed project report, laying the groundwork for the subsequent approval by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
This development is poised to bring about a transformative change in the aviation infrastructure of Bolangir, opening up new avenues for economic growth, tourism, and overall progress.
