Bhubaneswar: Following the directive of Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik, Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, Sri V.K. Pandian undertook a visit to Koraput District to review the advancement of various developmental works within the district and engage with both students and the public.
Participating in the Nua-O Program held at Government College Ground, Koraput, Mr. Pandian interacted with students from all colleges in Koraput. Encouraging them to persevere in their chosen paths, he urged students to actively participate in the Nua-O program as a platform to showcase their talents, fostering overall personality development alongside academic accomplishments.
During his visit, Mr. Pandian conducted a comprehensive review of the Gupteswar Temple development in Boipariguda, funded at a cost of Rs. 20.20 Crs. Additionally, he assessed the progress of significant projects, including the Jhanjabati River Barrage Project costing Rs. 100 Crs, the construction of a 650-bedded new hospital building and a cancer wing at Sri Laxman Naik Medical College & Hospital in Koraput, amounting to Rs. 266 Crs, and the construction of a new 300-bedded hospital at DHH, Jeypore, with a budget of Rs. 100 Crs.
Mr. Pandian also oversaw the advancements in the renovation of major road projects, totaling Rs. 172.40 Crs, and major bridge projects amounting to Rs. 210 Crs within the district. Several of these initiatives were initiated following Mr. Pandian’s previous visit to Koraput District, during which he actively participated in grievance meetings, gathering feedback from the public.
Subsequently, Mr. Pandian interacted with the general public at Dussehra Padia, Jeypore, where he received grievances on various issues and provided assurances for their prompt resolution.
